Supply Chain Associate - 3PL
Job Description:
- Optimize and enhance Inventory model to ensure optimal safety stock and order policies in line with Supply Chain Strategy;
- Establish and execute best-in-class Inventory management practices / processes and continuously improve techniques, method, and approach;
- Establish collaborative relationships with all Supply Chain stakeholders and drive ownership for Inventory Risk throughout the business
- Establish Optimal Inventory Processes and risk management tools
- Develop in conjunction with the Supply Chain Leadership Team optimal inventory targets and working capital objectives
- Develop and co-ordinate Inventory Performance Metric Dashboard to report and optimize working capital and Inventory performance
- Ideate, champion and lead continuous improvement Projects to optimize Inventory Processes, using Lean/Six Sigma Tools
- Inventory Process and associated reporting requirements
- Support monthly reporting requirements and Management Reviews
- Manage the Singapore Reserves Process, ensuring compliance with Company’s Reserve policies and audit requirements. Ensure all identified risks are analyzed, investigated and action taken, where required;
- Manage the Third Party Manufacturing, Logistics & Warehousing providers operational relationships, ensuring processes are robustly followed and problem solve where required;
- Establish and execute best-in-class Third Party Logistics management practices / processes in the area of outsourced manufacturing
- Manage weekly review of key metrics with Third Party Logistics team across manufacturing schedule adherence; raw material availability; inventory discrepancies; finished goods dispatch and control process adherence
- Manage routine and appropriate effective cycle and stock counts and troubleshoot ad hoc issues with inventory discrepancies and failures with Third Party Logistics on a timely basis as required
- Prepare finance plans & forecasts for Third Party Logistics operations and warehouse
- Manage Operations integration with Third Party Logistics shunting and manufacturing;
- Manage raw material availability in warehouse to support manufacturing and finished goods availability in warehouse to support dispatch
- Collaborate with Operation Manager on documentation of Third Party Logistics process hand-offs and focus on continue improvement initiatives
- Act as an resource for Singapore to lead supply chain optimization;
- Support for productivity projects to reduce Supply Chain costs
- Ad-hoc information generation and analysis on an as required basis
- Participate in the development and implementation of new supply chain processes
- Act as primary point of contact with support team to embed new best practices and lead requests for system development support
- Meet all internal & external compliance responsibilities;
- Adhere to all Company’s Health & Safety requirements.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- Preferably with a Bachelor Degree or Professional Qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, etc
- Experience managing a Third Party Logistics contract including warehousing, manufacturing and logistics operations
- Experience in a business start-up/growth environment an advantage
- Experience working closely with third parties and colleagues in remote locations to deliver business objectives an advantage
- Experienced SAP user preferred
- Lean/Six Sigma experience/qualifications an advantage
- Strong Analytical skills and decision making ability with Project Management Skills and experience
- Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with ability to clearly articulate ideas and proposals to all levels of the organization
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a high pressure organization
- Ability to work with all levels of management with demonstrated ability to develop and motivate and influence others – both up and down the organization
- Cross-cultural people management experience an advantage
