Product Sales Manager

The Product Sales Manager conducts market research, generates product requirements; determines specifications, recommend adequate stock inventory, price to market, develops marketing strategies, leads sales growth of assigned product range in close cooperation with the Sales Team.

Report to the Sales Manager.

Skills and specifications

üSales and technical experience.

üPrevious experience in a Power Transmission company (eg. Gearboxes) is required.

üAbility to handle OEM independently.

üWork requires traveling overseas.

üMeticulous and pays attention to details. 

üHighly adaptive with the ability to effectively function in a dynamic MNC environment.

üPositive, proactive and self-driven.

üStrong Team-player.

üExcellent problem-solving skills. 

üExcellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written). 

Primary responsibilities

üDefine and execute sales plans for the assigned product range and then meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing and closing sales opportunities in cooperation with the Sales Team.

üDevelop and manage sales pipeline – prospect and assess new sales potential while moving a large number of transactions simultaneously through the sales pipeline

üManage and track customer and transactional information through ERP system

üCoordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support & pre-sales team

üAbility to drive technical discussion and give general support to team members and prospective customers.

üNurture and expand the company’s relationship with customer accounts of all sizes

üProvide regular reporting of pipeline and forecast

üKeep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products

üPractice effective, excellent communication with management, customers and support staff

üParticipate in team-building and company-growth activities including strategy setting, sales training, marketing efforts and customer care.

üTravel to customer locations in support of sales efforts.

üResponsible for sales results of assigned product range.

Education & Experience Requirements

·         Degree in Engineering, mechanical qualification preferred.

·         Minimum 10 years of work-related experience, of which at least 5 in POWER TRANSMISSION sector.

·         Experience in FLUID POWER sector is welcome
