  1. As the Lead for the Test Excellence Office, the successful candidate will be responsible for the testing & quality assurance of the business applications team. He/she will review current testing practices; identify improvement opportunities; and recommend proactive, feasible solutions.
  2. He/she will be part of the transformation team to develop test delivery capabilities. The broad area of involvement includes the followings:

-        Understanding current testing practices

-        Understanding current project practices

-        Assessing the quality of work products

-        Mapping this information to proven practices and form improvement plan

-        Delivering recommended improvements, categorized as immediate, short-term, and long-term actions

3         Testing practices transformation approach- formulates recommendations that, if implemented, would measurably enhance testing effectiveness and efficiency.

  1. Optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness:

-        Understand where testing practices should be maintained or improved

-        Gain practical recommendations on how to take testing practices to the next level of maturity

-        Improve the business value that testing can provide

-        Enhance the quality of the software you deliver to your business

-        Improve test coverage and testing productivity, including performance testing, test automation, test environment Management

-        Evaluate, procure testing tools to support the testing practices

-        Identify and eliminate defects earlier in the software development life cycle

-        Mitigate the risk of system outages caused by application failures that can adversely affect business operations

-        Drive test automation and enhance testing efficiency

-        Advocate test management practises and process


  1. Minimum 15 years of working experience in IT Testing environment with at least 5 years as a Test Manager
  2. Experience in software development with web-based (Java/J2EE) Applications
  3. Knowledge and interest of application testing and awareness of testing standards, methods and processes
  4. Experience in regression testing and automated testing is desirable
  5. Sound knowledge on testing techniques and tools
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to interact across all levels of organisation
  7. Analytical and systems thinking
  8. Exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) is a plus
